Banco Carregosa is a banking institution specialized in private banking, based in Porto, with the main objective of providing advice and protecting Customers' assets. Banco Carregosa results from the transformation into a bank of the former Corretora e Financeira de Corretagem LJ Carregosa, whose origins date back to 1833, the year in which the mother house was created, by Lourenço Joaquim Carregosa, who was dedicated to the foreign exchange business.
Throughout the 20th century, LJ Carregosa successively dedicated itself to credit papers, foreign exchange and financial intermediation. In more recent years, LJ Carregosa began to dedicate itself to wealth management, alongside its main brokerage activity.
